That depends on who is shooting it! ;\)

But I do agree that a good compound bow in skilled hands is a more accurate and longer range weapon than a crossbow.

If your getting a great price, I'd sure buy it. Every weapon has it drawbacks; be it a crossbow, gun, muzzle loader, compound, 50 cal Barret or traditional.

I love my compound, but anyway someone wants to legally hunt is OK with me. IMO, we need MORE hunters... of all LEGAL variety. \:\)

I will hunt with both this year. Just thought it would be cool to do both and compare.

Nothing but a compound for me,as long as I'm able.Several friends of mine got those excalibers when they first legalized them.I was shooting with a friend and told him "man, that thing is loud" he replied "Yea,a 30-06 is pretty loud too!! ;)To each his own.

I would be very interested in what you think from your comparison.

I have hunted with both but use the crossbow now and believe it is a great advantage not having to draw. Since I don't use a climber anymore I need the advantage. I was getting where I wasn't climbing as high as I need to...old age creeping in I guess!
