Yep and they like Karo syrup about as well!
I know guys who add Karo to their mineral mix late summer for their camera census. They rant and rave about its effectiveness.

Back to strawberry soda for a minute... cheap diet pop, the nastier the better, is great for cleaning your hands after dressing a deer. it gets the blood off, then you rinse with water and you're all set.
don't know if any particular flavor works best, though

Red Man baccer the stuff in the white pouch with a green lable. I killed 11 deer one year while I was chewing that crap. Got tired of sticks and pidgeon feather in my baccer so I quit that stuff. Never seen as many deer since. That was the first year of unit L though. That might have had a little something to do with my #s that year.

I've heard that deer like marijuana. But I think its only legal to use in California for hunting purposes.
They love the young stuff. More mature plants have to much THC in them. THC is cannibis's natural defense mechanism from animals. Most animals dont want to intentionally poison their system
