It isn't dry here in east TN. Looks like a good mast and browse year. My strategies will be to hunt the magic trio of white oaks that seem to bring in the deer sometime around the 2nd of October. Then, hunt my funnels till December. Move to the "corner" stand at second rifle and watch the deer pour by. Hopefully will be blessed with a good buck or two. Planning on busting 2 or 3 does this year too.

Looks like one chance of rain in the next 10 days in Mid TN. but the temps will not be too high.

Real Dry???? Wettest spring and summer I can recall.
Just depends where your at. I was in Lincoln county turkey hunting when all that rain fell in the Nashville area which was something like 17 inches. Never rained a drop there during that period and yes it has been very dry down in that area until recently when they got a big rain a couple weeks back. Heck some corn was just plowed under due to drying up and one pond we had dried completely up so do not color all areas with one brush! I have seen less deer movement on the farms I hunt than I have in recent years, not sure why but not seeing the numbers I have seen.

A 2 week dry spell will have no impact, right now they may have moved a little bit towards water, but this is a very very very minor blip, and hardly what can be considered a dry spell. Rainfall has not been an issue yet this year anywhere in this state.

Definitely depends on where you're at. Here in SE TN, we're, as has already been said, nearly 9" below normal, and that constitutes a drought condition imo.

Middle and West TN are on par for the wettest year ever on record. That little shower we had back in early May probably bumped up the total a little. Seems like I remember a weatherman saying that we got three months' worth of rain in 24 hours, or something like that... I wonder how our total would look without that extraordinary event.
August was one of the wettest on record too. We would be well above average without the May flooding event, but not at the record levels were are at now.
Although, as always with rain from thunderstorms, it's spotty. Nashville was very wet in August while nearby Clarksville was below average.

Don't think it will make much difference.

We've had plenty of rain here as well. I dont think anywhere in the stae has been dry enough to have much of a negative impact.
