Almost stepped on this little guy scouting on Sunday. Anybody know what kind of snake it is? Sorry for the bad pic, but kind of surprised auto-focus worked so well at a dead sprint

I've been told Copperhead and I've been told rattlesnake, but it doesn't look like either to me...it was pretty small (12-15 inches) and not a [censored] bit scared!

I can barely make out its head and from that it looks like it could be of the venomous variety.

Looks like a corn snake to me. Doesn't look like copperhead markings.
