Archery: 15-25' depending on the foliage and how good I can see the ground.
Gun: 20-30' depending on the area.

Between 20 and 25 as a rule, but every situation is different and can demand higher or lower to be effective!

I will hunt wherever the cover is on that tree. That could be anywhere from 6 ft - 25 ft. Normally don't get any higher that 25 ft with gun or bow

For me, 25 feet minimum. Often 30 feet. I'm looking to get out of the 270 degree peripheral vision of the deer as well as escape their noses.

20 feet mostly. But Im still half asleep while im climbin the tree a lot of times so i dont really pay much attention til it gets daylight and i look down and think. Whoa! why did i climb this high lol. On our Rutherford county land last year i climbed super high n then dropped my whole pack with arrows and all, during the climb back down about 20 deer wandered into the food plot, i jumped out at bout 8 feet with my bow an went coyote mode n killed a fatty doe. sometimes droppin all ur gear from 30 feet up ain't a bad thing.
