Anyone have one? How well do they work? I was thinking about getting the original ProMag. They are the ones that sponsor this site.

I know most on here love their Summits, but I have used them and I like them, but they just seem too be a little bit too heavy and bulky for as far as some of my walks are. I am used to my 12 lb Loggy Bayou. I have had it for 12 years and I think the band is on its last leg....plus I want a foot rest and a shooting rail. The Treewalker seems to have everything I am looking for, and slightly lighter than most 2 piece stands.

Seems like Plinker22 uses one of those. I'm interested in them as well.

If you're use to using a 12lb stand I would seriously look into Timber Tall. They advertise their lightest two piece climber to be approximately 12.5 lbs, which is incredible for a 2 piece climber. I've been using one for a couple of seasons and it's by far my favorite stand. They are a little pricey but well worth it, especially if you hunt in hilly or mountainous regions. They have an excellent gun and bow holding system for the stand. I don't even use a rope anymore to pull my bow up. I just adjust the bow holder to carry my bow parallel with the top portion of the stand and then readjust when I get to where I'm gonna hunt. Only down fall is, I think that they aren't TMA certified, but I think at first they were. I call TMA and asked why, but they told me that I would have to talk to Timber Tall, which I never did. Treestands.com is the cheapest place that I've found.

EBAY has a unique looking ultra light climber on there x1 climbing stand. made by ADO ind. It weighs like 12 lbs. I am going to get one and replace the seat with a GORILLA air cell seat with back rest.
Someone look at them and give me your thoughts.

Just replace the band on your Loggy and add the shooting rail and foot rest, thats what I did on my largest Loggy and use it exclusively for gun hunting. Trewalker does however make a quality stand, they are made right down the road from where im sitting right now typing this. If you have became accustomed to a Loggy however you will likely have a hard time finding another stand that performs as well as a Loggy at the same weight and size, they are supper light and very efffective stands.

I use a treewalker and I will never use another climbing stand besides a treewalker. The are the complete package when it comes to tree stands. Search for my name or treewalker on here and wrote a complete review on it. I have friends that use lone wolfs and summits and once they sat in my stand they both sold their other stands and now have treewalkers...

Plus they are made right here in TN out of knoxville. I talked to the owner and he let me come to his house showed me all the different models and then i Went with the promag lt. Get the treewalker and the chill pad with it and you'll never be happier with a purchase.

The only downfall they have I've found is that they are so comfortable when I'm sitting in it I tend to fall asleep too much. And I am being serious about that statement...

The treewalker grips the tree with spikes, so it wont slip, and sometimes it's actually difficult to pull the bottom section loose with your feet.
treewalker doesn't have as good sideways stability as my summit, especially on smaller trees. I have had it get loose several times on smaller trees when leaning too much weight to the side, but again, it wont slip vertically.

Summits cable system is easier, as you don't have to use and keep track of pto type pins.

Treewalker is comfortable and gives a more spacious feeling than most stands, and the built in footrest is a plus.

My main complaints with treewalker are that you have to use the pto style pins, on which the wire part is easily broken, and if you get the optional shooting rail attachment, it is adjusted with plasic topped bolts, on which the plastic part is easily broken. Also, the part of the rail where those bolts screw in is easily bent and deformed if the bolts receive any lateral pressure.

Also, my treewalker has a removable front cross bar, which is a plus for bow hunting, but the side sections tend to pinch toward the center when the bar is removed.

I really like my treewalker, but if I had to do over again, I would get the basic model, because all of the other features, such as adjustable shooting rail, and anything else that requires bolts, have poorly designed attachment hardware.

I really do like the treewalker for all day sittings and consider it a really good stand despite it's shortcomings. I value it as much as my summits, but do think it is overpriced.
