Looking at Prices between Outfitter and the "hopes" of a trophy of a life time. I'm considering an estate hunt this year in KY.

I know most will frown on this! But, due to work schedule and "lack" of time that I can get away. Seems that I can get more "bang" for my "buck" and be guranteed a animal and pleanty of memories and a nice buck on the wall. For about the same price as a week long hunt in the mid-west for a chance! Again I know this isn't for most of you guy's. I think that I may give it a try this year...besides it'll be about 15 more years before my next Presidents Island hunt!!

The place I found is close to TN, has anyone ever hunted with these guy's? The prices looked pretty reasonable comparied to some of the "big lodge" hunts. I'm in more for the hunt and not the accomadations. http://www.fallentimberhunts.com/

Or if anyone has a better place and cheaper prices let me know, especially if you have had any experiance with them.

Tks, db

If you are looking for a "guaranteed" kill, then that looks like a good place for it.

Man, it's your money, time, and experience, don't let others bother you. If it's legal and not immoral or unethical, then have at it. That's what makes America great. I don't know about these guys, but I have been hearing more and more about the quality of deer being harvested in Kentucky.

The quality of deer in Kentucky is unrivaled!.....I have seen the photos and i am a believer! My friends have been hunting there for the last few years and the deer are awesome. They have plenty of P&Y and more than their fair share of B&C! I couldnt believe my eyes!

I guess the ansewer would be yes....but, it's a large fence! You still have to hunt and play the wind. Just like most other hunts! I've got 3 day's to get the one that I'm after. Unless I see one that I want to "upgrade" to. I just hope that the guide misjudges the deer in my favor!!! This place here if the guide misjudges it, he tell me to shoot and it's bigger than what we agreed to shoot, there's no more cost to me!! His loss my gain. Not counting on it happening...But, i can hope!

Well, I had stated that I had never hunted a place like this...But, since I've hunted at Holston Army Ammunition plant...I guess that I have hunted a high fence opperation before....just didn't have to pay as much to hunt Holston. Guess I'm trying to justify hunting inside a fence?

Again, lack of time to spend in the woods I just want to know that I will be able to harvest a "good'un" this year. Yea, i'll get to hunt some here in TN, that will be when I'll "enjoy" my time in the woods. But, pretty much knowing I won't see anything above the 150's, just tired of seeing "scrub-heads" and yes I'll take out my share of does.

Pilgram...Your reply made the most sense of any made! THANK YOU!

Its definitely not hunting, more just shooting what you pay for. That being said, if it makes you happy then by all means do it! Like stated above its not illegal, and if it fits your idea of ethical then let er rip! I have no problem with people being people and doing what makes them happy within reason!
