Hey guys anybody here on a lease in henry/carrol county that used to be Westvaco timber company land? My dad and I hunt on a 85 acre farm that borders one of these leases. The property we hunt is the hutching property off of new hope road if that helps to locate the area Iam talking about. The hunting club/lease iam interested in is roughly 800 acres i think. I am just trying to find out what I can about the hunting club. Thanks

I'm not real sure but I believe this is the place you are talking about. I believe this place is off of pleasant hill rd just off new hope almost at the carroll/benton/henry line. I tukey hunted that area about 15 years ago but have not hunted the area since the year after the westvaco sold.

yea i hunted 177 acres in henry county it was on terrapin creek rd i would love to have it back. Some folks from dyersburg bought it and then sold it to a victor marshall who then has sold it again but i dont no who owns it know. I would pay good money to be able to go back and hunt it my dad and granddad leased it for over 20 years.
I also was on a lease in austin springs that was westvaco ground was on it 2 or 3 years and then they sold it and clear cut it.

yeah i love it out that way. I can't say I know the place your talking about but I have a feeling its probably just like the area iam talking about. I was on a lease last year with some other guys from work here in dyersburg that was off of somethin mansfield road in henry county. it was 1200 acres you turned on to pig lane just past mckenzie to get out that way. It was nice just to much for me to chew considering there wasn't any agriculture anywhere near it, made it kinda difficult for me to find a good spot that someone else didn't have a stand already. Plus it was only 20 min away from the ground we already hunt and theres much better food selection for the deer out that way off of pleasant hill rd between hollow rock and paris.
