You can save a ton of money by buying concentrated permethrin (the active ingredient in permanone) at Tractor supply. For the cost of one 6 oz can of permanone, you can make 168 oz from 8 oz of the 10% concentrate. Just mix 20 parts water to one part concentrate.
It works fantastic. I've been out on the hunting property every weekend for the past four weeks walking around in rally ticky tall weeds and grass. Have yet to get one tick. Treated clothing one time and have washed it four times since without any apparent reduction in effectiveness.

That's what I'm gonna do. I have the cans, but I keep hearing people talk about it on here. I don't mind letting my hunting buddies spray a little on their clothes from my cans, but @ 6.00 a can that gets expensive. Our dove field has some ticks in it I know. I think I will buy the concentrate and mix some up for a spray bottle for this next week's hunt. they can use all they want then.

Our TSC doesn't have it but I think Co-op does. They're closed on Sundays.

I went to our TCS in Fairview this evening. I bought 2 of the 8oz concentrate bottles for 5.99 each. They had several of the larger 32oz bottles for 17.99 each. I will be brewing my own tomorrow. I did leave 3 of the smaller bottles if anyone else wants to buy them. I did tell another friend of mine this evening so no telling what or how many he will buy tomorrow.
I can't see how 1 TSC will caeey it and another wouldn't. It was not with the typical incectisides, wasp sprays, ant and termite sprays. It was back in the corner near all the equine and cattle stuff near the feed and salt blocks. Just ask a worker and they can point you in the right direction. She knew exactly what I was asking for. The mixing instructions are in a pamplet on the backside of the bottle.

They sell a large spray bottle too that has ounce markings on the side. I think it holds 32 oz total. I just fill it up to 20 oz with water and add 1 oz of the concentrate. The mixing instructions on the bottle I bought don't have directions for human use, so I just mixed it to the same 0.5% concentration that comes in the permanone cans.
