Lost my 835 plug. Anyone know the diameter and length of the dowel rod?

You might have to experiment a little. Shouldn't be a problem to but a dowel and measure with shells.

Ditto, I've made several out of dowels. Just use a few shells for length comparison.

Did you have to put the little gaskets on it? I remember the original had an "O" on each end.

They don't have to have them on there. It may slide up and down a little. If you have to have one go to Lowes. They sell different sizes of o-rings.
