I just wish I knew how late is too late for the mountain where I have food plots. Seems like the more Ive put off planting into September, the less growth Ive gotten. Its always cooler and frosting earlier and snowing more up here, etc.

I planted mine last week. But I have a spring with a pump to water mine. Already got some good growth, 3 inches or so, but its spotty.

We mowed most of them yesterday and i am in no hurry to get them planted before the 6th of sept...we usually shoot for the last two weeks of sept to be completed meaning most of them are done just before theopening of bow season.....it is just too hot and too much weed growing time lft...we do not currently spray.
