I saw a thread on the QDMA site,it was talking about all the VASTLY different start dates for FLA.Some in Oct,but South FLA in July.He even said the rut occured in JUly there because the does were ,"Trying to reason,with hurricane season".Basically an adaption to having fawns in late fall,early winter,to get em ready for hurricanes in the summer.Im fine with all that,my question is,what stage would the bucks horns be in then?
Velvet,hard antler?
And since you brought it up,I think we are within a couple of years from the FFla state champion,Fla,Fla St,or the U,being in the BCS Natl Championship game every year,again

When I was growing up in FL deer season would start in Sept.... Theres a good chance that hunters in S. FL will be very hot that time of year.... Since its late July I would guess there antlers a hard but I have never hunted deer that early down there...
No doubt the football programs down there are going to be back on top.... Too many kids to choose from and great programs with winning traditions....

Wish I knew how to transfer the thread,I think BSK posted on it there,some of the start dates were 2 months,and only 1 county apart,crazy,but a good reason Im sure
On another thread BSK talked about how deer adapts to their environment to be able to reproduce.... As far as the line goes... You have to draw one somewhere,,,,??? Just like TN. there are lines and sometimes they are not perfect but you have to draw it somewhere....
