Used to have an API Grandslam and made several all-day-long hunts out of it. A few years back changed to the Summit Goliath and have also made many all-day-long sits. Stick with the Goliath if you're large - otherwise save the weight and go with the Viper. I've also heard great things about the Lone Wolf sit-n-climb. However from what I understand like was mentioned above they're not really made for the larger dude to be comfortable in all day long.

If you get a summit I also recommend that you get the foot stand.

Summit or lone wolf. I prefer a Summit because of the comfort. I have little problems with carrying my summit in. Just cinch up the shoulder straps and it rides snug. I like lone wolf also but the comfort factor for me drops off. I find climbing with a Summit to be much and I mean MUCH easier. But either one of those brands is a good choice. JMO

For rifle hunting I would likely go with one of the Ol Man stands. Very comfy with an adjustable shooting rail around the front. The also climb easy and are well made.

Summit all the way. They are simply the best.
Although during gun season I like my Treelounge.

I have a Summitt, an API and a TreeWalker. Best one overall in my opinion by a longshot is the TreeWalker.
