Yes. As long as you are not hunting and not bothering any people then I feel that it would be OK if legal.
"It is unlawful for any person, or one or more of a group of persons together, to willfully throw or cast the rays of a spotlight, headlight or other artificial light in an apparent attempt or intent to locate deer by the use of such light."
I wonder how the TWRA "looks" for deer?

I remember someone else telling me that too. I'd like to get one of those devices and check it out. Do you know if it is legal for the average person to have one and use it for location of deer? Thanks.
They are not cheap though: http://www.opticsplanet.net/heat-seekers-termal-imagers.html

Rednecks can't be trusted to use spot lights as a management tool. LMAO
I doubt that a spot light would harm a deers eyes anymore than a flash.

I've said it before if you want to look at deer at night...then go buy yourself a nightvision device. Problem solved....nobody is bothered this way.
Agree, and night vision binoculars work great!

I would prefer it stay illegal. However, I can certainly understand someone wanting to look at deer with a spotlight on their own property and not from a public road.
