\:D YES THEY DO!!!!

I got stung last year on Labor day weekend by a red wasp. He dive-bombed me from 12 feet up in the gutter and landed on my head. I felt him and tried to brush him off with my hand and he clinched on to my right ring finger, stung me in the vein, and I swole up halfway up my bicept. I couldnt work the rest of the weekend. I had 3 lock-ons to move, but didnt cause I couldnt hold on to anything....Afraid I would fall out of the trees \:D

The mower would literally suck all the yellow-jackets up out of the ground nest just in time for you to walk over it! Dang you could get worn out!

I'm not getting stung at all now that I use a ATV pull-behind mower.

I was cutting a hay field with a buddy of mine when we were still in high school. Luckily, I was on an old Ford 8n I believe, gas, with the exhaust coming from beneath the engine and right out behind me. My buddy however was running the second lane, and just behind me, when I ran over a ground yellow jacket nest. Apparently the gas fumes kept them off of me, but the diesel he was on, coupled with the exhaust coming from the topside, didn't protect him! I remember looking back as that tractor slowly chugged down the slope and into the woods....without him, as he was high tailing it as far away and as fast as he could go, screaming all the way! Yea, good times. \:D
