I know a guy who said he "accidently" ran over a rattler on the Trace during turkey season. Of corse he "darted out in the road in front of him". Luck noone got hurt and there was no damage to the vehichle

seriously! If I was worried about being bitten I'd be wearing a cup because one that size would probably strike higher.

Oh, that's a BABY....I just read about a rattler that was killed about 3 weeks ago in Batesville AR. This snake was killed around a chicken house, the farmer noticed his was losing several chicken a week, with no evidence of the dead birds. One morning he goes into his chicken house and heard a very load, but strangely familar noise coming from the back of the house, he proceeds to investigate and as he gets closer to the end of the house he spots it.
A Rattle snake in the chicken pen, he proceeds to run back to his house to get a shotgun to take care of the pest, good thing he grabbed a shotgun instead of a rifle.
He returns to the chicken house and as he approaches the back of the house he hears the load noise again. He takes some feed to throw to the chicken to, in order to get them out of the way so he can take a shoot. He throws the feed, the chickens scatter and to he disbelief this snake is a little bigger than he thought.
One shot and he kills the extremely LARGE rattle snake. This snake was a unbeleiveable 14 feet 8 inch, had 11 rattles and two buttons on the end. This rattler weighted a whooping 105 lbs.
THIS THING WAS STILL GROWING!!!
He called the location Game and Fish, the officer said that it was the largest rattler he had ever seen. They have since contacted Genis, as they beleive this snake to be the new worlds record Diamondback Rattlesnake.
Picture to COME!! ......... HOLY CRAP!!!!!
