Anyone heard anymore from this? I was reading in Am Hunter last eve that they revised the wording for 2010 and, imo, it's worse than before:
It is unlawful for a person, while hunting, to possess any electronic motion-tracking device or mechanism, as defined by Commission rule that is designed to track the motion of a game animal's location or movement during any commission-adopted hunting season.
From this, in 2009:
It is unlawful for a person, while hunting, to possess any electronic motion-tracking device or mechanism, as defined by Commission rule that is designed to track the motion of a game animal and relay the information on the animal's movement to a hunter.

It is my understanding that you can use them up until season starts, just NOT "during hunting season."

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see where it said anything about banning game cameras. It said to possess a motion tracking device while hunting. I would think that would mean you could not have a remote viewer on you or a camera that sends pictures to your phone while hunting.
Don't have a remote viewer or any cellular type camera. I leave my cameras on the tree so I am not in possession of them while hunting. Therefor that law wouldn't affect me even if we did have it here.

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see where it said anything about banning game cameras. It said to possess a motion tracking device while hunting. I would think that would mean you could not have a remote viewer on you or a camera that sends pictures to your phone while hunting.
Don't have a remote viewer or any cellular type camera. I leave my cameras on the tree so I am not in possession of them while hunting. Therefor that law wouldn't affect me even if we did have it here.

wonder why?Never helped me kill one yet,I need a cam that tells me where they are gonns BE,not where they have been 
Ditto... my friends and I have all but concluded that if one of us gets a trail cam pic of a mature buck, there is a 99% guarantee the same person will not harvest him. Over the last few years I have become pretty good at capturing mature bucks on cam (more at night than day), but I rarely harvest any of these "known" bucks.

Apparently, dozens of game cameras packed around high animal traffic areas on public lands have become a concern.

Still says possess or in the field which is another way of saying while hunting. I guess that is another one of those game laws that is left for interpretation by which ever officer or judge is involved in the case.
