How's this for some long spikes on a yearling buck? These are probably the longest spikes I've ever seen on a yearling:
Those are some long spikes for such a young deer. Hope he sticks around so you can watch his progression.
Unfortunately, he got run off by his mother (Yearling Buck Dispersal [YBD]). Never saw him after those summer pictures.

Never saw one totally slick that I know of.
Looking close at that pic, to me it looks like that buck in the pic could be a 6 point and possibly an 8. Just to be sure, you are talking about the second picture in this post, correct? It is the one I'm referring to. Sorry for any confusion.

I would think you were looking at the correct picture but then again I thought this fellow must think I'm crazy posting a picture of a buck that wasn't a spike. But I did see the buck in question on the hoof and he was slick across the top of his beams. Thanks for good laugh with your reply...I needed that.
