I was just wondering if TWRA knew we had a Pretty large herd
of Red stag in claiborne Co.They escaped 5to6 years ago from a pen I have seen at least 20 in a herd myself
Would it be legal to kill one during deer season?

One of the few animals I would like to hunt. Course I'm too old for the terrain now and when I could have handled it, I couldn't afford it. The two top spots, I guess, are New Zeland and Argentina.

So let me get this straight---A long time ago, I dreamed of going on a "Wild Boar" hunt. Now some 20 years later, I finally get to go and now have 7 kills under my belt, to now have them degraded from "wild boar" to "feral pigs"
Now I can imagine 20 years from now, I finally get my dream come true to kill a trophy elk in TN, only to find out that I have now killed a "6x6 Feral Red Stagnated Waapitti"

I know personally know the location of some red stags. These things are very invasive, and the land owners want them gone!
What can be done in a situation like this. IF they are causing damages to crops and fences, shouldnt the land owner have the right to protect his property against these animals? He cannot hunt-shoot etc himself, but he should be able to allow hunters on his land to dispatch the stags (IMO)
I suppose he should contact the local WO and get some advice prior to shooting them! I have been asked to shoot them and had intentions of doing so when archery season opens because they are roaming the same territory we deer hunt.
