I don't do anything about camo on my stands but one of the beauties of a hangon stand, particularly with some type of climbing sticks, is that you can go around limbs, etc. while climbing without having to remove them like with a climber. Many times I'm sitting right above a limb with foliage or in the middle of them.

I don't worry about it at all-hanging stand or ladder. I just place them with natural background cover to start with.

Last year I left my facemask in the truck. I always carried a back-up in my backpack. However, I couldn't find it so I hunted without it. Deer came in and did their usual thing. Ever since I go w/o a mask unless it's bunghole cold.

I camouflage all my stands with spray paint.except the climbing stand. The only reason I do that is because I hunt a lot on public land. After having several stands stolen, despite chains and locks, the camouflage seems to do the trick. Never had a stand stolen again since I spray paint them with a camouflage pattern.

I do wear full camouflage when I am in the stand, even gloves and face mask or paint. I don't know if it helps but it makes me feel better.

All of our 2-man ladder stands have burlap hung from the shooting rail. It's simply amazing how much more movement you can get away with without being busted. A night and day difference.

I generally us a climber. I like to find a nice straight tree with a smaller sapling growing near buy for cover. I cover myself head to toe in camo something or other. bout the only thing the deer see of me is my nose and eyes.
