Almost exclusively use 2-man ladder stands. I have none of the expensive ones, just the $100 WalMart/Co-op ones. I have no complaints about the cheap ones. I agree, no higher than your going the cheap ones do fine. Now if yopu wanted to add sections and get to 20 ft or higher you might want to upgrade to a more heavy duty model. I have several at 16 to 20 ft and they are fine, but 20 is the max I would use the cheap ones, due to the legs/ladder flexing when you get above that.

Thanks for all the info guys, I am gonna check Wally World but so far I am looking at one of the River's Edge that Dicks sells. It is 159 but it has a back and the seat folds up to give you the full floor. I figure that anda camo wrap and I should be good to go. I am gonna keep looking tho.
I think I am going to have to get it locally because shipping knocks most of the good deals out.

416, We have both the Rivers Edge from Sportsman Warehouse ( out of business) and the Remington from Wal-mart. If and when we buy more it will be the Rivers Edge, due to the full floor and the seat folding up. When you get up there with all your gear the extra floor helps! Also the shooting rails on the Rivers Edge are sturdier and built different from the Remingtons. The Rivers edge are hinged on top of the side rail of the bench seat. and the Remingtons are hinged at the bend of the side rail to the seat and rest on a small piece of angle. These angles bend very easly,We actually cut and welded 1/4" piece of angle to replace these. Don't get me wrong the Remingtons do a fine job also, we have two and hunt out of them often. We hardly ever hunt two men to a stand, have taken our kids with us, but if I am going by my self I like the extra room of the double stand. IMO: thr Rivers Edge is the better choice. if you are willing to pay the little bit extra!!

Turns out these are Field and Stream Stands, they are the ones that they sell at Dick's. They look just like the River's Edge ones though. Not sure if they are...

It wouldn't surprise me if they are not made by the same company.

Make sure you get the ones with the back rest. The ones without are very uncomfortable. I have the $100.00 ones and they are fine.

I just picked up a few from Academy for $99. I think it is the Rivers Edge. Seat folds up so it easier to bow hunt out of.

Ended up buying two 16ft wraparound 2 man ladders from Sportsman's guide today... I have never hunted out of one before. Hope all goes well.... Last thing I want is to do the flying gammahooch off the top of the ladder...

I had the one that the seat folds up. It's comfortable but a pain to set up. You can't stand on the ladder and reach the tree to strap it down. what i did was climb to the top of the ladder and already had a ratchet strap around the tree and hooked to the top rung. then i cinched it down tight before i stepped onto the platform to secure the other straps.

Exactly.
I love the extra room, they are very sturdy and safe if put up right. I do use an extra strap just to be sure
