I was born in the early 80's so I don't remember those times. \:D

I love those old pictures though

Great Pics from all. I didn't start hunting until the early 90's, but sadly I do not know what happened to all the pics i had of deer that we shot back then. Of course there weren't that many to keep up with \:D

Here is a couple of East Tn trophies from the 80's. All my friends called me lucky \:D and I believed I was.

The one on the right was a head shot. He was running up through the woods toward me and crossed the road bed I was standing in within 5 feet of me. I shot from the hip and he fell immediatly.

You wouldn't win money from me! The hunting is MUCH better and more fun now.

But then I've backed way off on how serious I take the management and the hunting.

To me it was more thrilling back then to just see a deer, let
alone kill one. Today (for me) it is still exciting to watch the
deer and study their habits and reactions to different sights
and sounds.

The difference now (to me) is there are many more deer, and I
don't have the desire to blast away at the first little buck
that wanders along. In fact, you can learn alot from juvenile
bucks. Even leading to killing a big buck.
