Way too early to worry about a rub line in my opinion. Look for the groceries. Ditto I think these guys might be on to something...
Maybe you can borrow Tomahawks Ghost blind

Maybe you can borrow Tomahawks Ghost blind Yep a Ghost Blind will certainly solve any set up problems. You could set up right in the middle of their trail and they still wouldn't see you until they get so close they smell you...

Honestly, if it were me I wouldnt be so excited about a rub line. I would focus more on funnels and food early season. Cool you found a big rub already. I guess it is about time though Gotta be last year's rub. They're still in velvet - at least the three I saw this morning were...

Where I hunt in Tennessee, I have NEVER seen a rub line in August. Not to say it's not possible somewhere though.

I can't imagine you finding a fresh rubline now but I guess stranger things have happened. I'll say what I've preached for years and that's hunt it while it's hot. Things change so quickly during the Fall transition and in particular food sources in conjunction with range shifting. If you find hot sign today get on it. Once acorns drop all bets on the hot sign around ag crops are off. I'd keep food sources in mind and check the cover areas that will filter deer into them.
