wlf189-a good buck will spoil just as quickly as a fat doe. If you have a good shot, take it. I have never lost a deer or elk to spoilage.
i just meant in hotter weather i aint gonna be in a rush and risk a doe ruining when i can kill them when its colder

In South Carolina, bow season opened on August 15th. Can you imagine taking a deer when its 115 heat index?
