I killed one very similar in Hickman co. several years ago, that was actually chasing a doe. I should have had him aged as he was at minimum 2.5 but much more likely 3.5+ based on body characteristics, and size for the area. He had 2 pretty large pedicels but no Antlers. He also had both testicles and they were completely normal looking and as big as a softball.lol I sure didnt consider him a trophy but I was glad to kill him, on the outside chance that he would pass the genes to his offspring.

Bucks can be prevented from growing antlers for several reasons, but most are associated with problems with testosterone production or recognition.

HA!
Actually, animals can have the problem of their body not recognizing testosterone.

My son killed one sevral years ago up at ft. campbell. We thought it was a doe (good size doe) when we got over to it there was one large (about the size of a fist) lump on one side where the antler should have been. They said he was about 5 1/2 years old.
