I opened this months issue of the Tennessee Outdoorsman and I am about 99% sure they had an article in there featuring the deer that he killed last season (the one with the crazy drop tine off the brow tine). They called his 51 pt buck a 49 pt, so I guess he has to change his screen name \:D . Just thought it was pretty cool to open the mag up and see they featured a TN deer member in an article.

Very good article. The dude might not be too humble, but he seems
to know what he's talking about. According to the article, it
was not just luck and where he was hunting, to take a buck like
that.

I for one, am glad to see him be able to hunt again. He seems to
be a fairly young fellow and I will bet money that it won't be
the last monster buck he kills. On the other hand though, I have
never been jelous of other hunter's successes.

I met him at an outdoor show after he killed the "51 pointer",
and he is really a very nice person.

I'm not sure if "102" wants to be identified publicly. \:D

Is that 102 in the second picture or is he not pictured?

That's the second story that I have read about a hunter being on the cell phone and killing a "Nice Buck".... Some guy did it in Oak Ridge this past season, killed a monster while sitting on a stump and talking on a cell phone...

Heres the other article.. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/nov/22/knoxville-hunter-bags-28-point-deer/

All bucks of a life time! Justin displayed his deer one year at our NWTF banquet. He's the one who was walking out talking on his cell phone, and the deer ran up on him. Haywood county has turned out several big non-typs. over the years. Never seen 51 pts. deer, except a picture, but unbelievable. As for Justin, who was 20 when he took his monster, when you peak that early in your deer hunting career, there's not much higher you can go! A few years late, but congrats, To both!

The article is the September issue of Tennessee Sportsman. I do not know who carries it on the shelf, but I'm sure maybe Walgreens or some place like that may. The article is on page 24 and is called "The Volunteer States top bow kills of 2009."

I said earlier that there was not a picture of all three hunters with their deer, but I was wrong there are three deer and all hunters are in the pictures.

According to BGG 102 is one of the other hunters in the article. I feel like I have seen a pic of the second deer on here, but I may be wrong.
