i think i found a scrape, but i am not sure this will only be my third year of serious hunting i took a pic of it with my phone but dont know how to get it on the internet. So if anyone has a cell phone that gets picture messages and could help me out i would be very greatful. Or if someone could tell me away to get it on the internet i'd like that to. If u are willing to help me just message me.

With most cell phones you can send a text message with your email address as the receiving party. Then open your email and it will be there and then upload said pic to a free photobucket account and then link it here.

i use to find scrapes on opening weekend every year in this one particular spot. I heard somewhere one time that deer will do a little bit of scraping year around.

I do not see them very often around the house or on my property here in TN. However, in AL and Miss it was pretty common to find them early, and also find them well into turkey season.
I would say it was a scrape you found, and just some early territory marking.

There are "community" scrapes used year round by deer....and are considered important, should you have located one it should be a good spot to hunt.

Agree totally. Also, while walking down logging roads, along deer trails, in or around browsing areas in the woods, look for the branches about chest high that have been chewed on or broken. These are typically above a scrape, but can be found without a scraped ground if looked for. When you find one its not a bad idea to hunt around there..look for midday activity.

They can also be made by turkeys and fool even some veterans. However, it isnot uncommon to find deer scrapes anytime of year. This time of year, they mean nothing and may even have been made by a doe.

I've never seen any scrapes this time of the year but I'm not saying its not happened before.
