well in comparsion if I was doing a hunting show and showed all my kills the whole TV season might take 5 minutes. If they are hunting fair chase we do have to cut them a little slack. If not we can get what we ask for and get 2 hours of shooting deer in a cage / high fence.

i watch 4 shows and with the dvr i never miss an episode. the rest of the shows are not worth watching to me. i just hit the fast forward button during commercials. the shows i watch are very realistic because they show the mishaps and misses and they will tell you it has been x number of days in the field without any luck.

I hate the shows now for all the reasons mentioned earlier. My wife also hates the whispering. And why do they whisper after the deer is obviously dead? Also have you notice how many of these guys shoot a deer (most of the time its a bow) and dont recover the deer until the next morning. This really chaps my hid. I know it can happen to anyone but it seems to be the norm on these shows now.
Two seasons ago, we filmed all kinds of stuff throughout the hunting season to spoof these shows. We made up our own sponsors, had guest hunters invited in to try and take the bullet proof "Zues" buck, over estimated the yardage which bucks were shot, over estimated the scores of the bucks and so on. It is hilarious. I would put it up on Utube but there are a few parts in it that are not fit for the general public. Besides it is probably 2 hrs long.

I really think you all will be pleased with the format I am putting together, informative, and featuring the average joe and how they hunt 90% of the time. But be prepared, there is cutaways and b-roll, which is 100% neccessary to tell the full story.

I like it when you can hear the leaves in the background as the deer is walking up. That's what I like seeing out of the hunting shows

I agree that the whispering is annoying. I think that Tiffanys whisper voice from the crush is the most annoying. There is only a few huntin shows I like. I used to really like Team Fitzgerald. I wish they had a show that just showed Fred Bears hunts. Oh I also enjoy Buck Commander because Chipper and some other baseball players I like are on it. I also like Ted Nugent and the show with Craig Morgan.

The key word is SHOWS, and that's what they are. Remember you can always turn the channel or turn it off. I for one enjoy the shows and yes I know just because Uncle Ted kills a 150 in somewhere does not mean I have to hunt the same place or use the same equipment to kill a 150. Its all about the dollar and you spending yours on what ever they use. But I do love seeing those big bucks...
