I like it when on the shows you hear the deer walking through the leaves. Just makes it seem more real to me.

thank god i thought it was just me.Im getting tired of the hard hitting rock music they are starting to play with some of thes hunts. I do like to watch the shows , but i dont like the direction they are heading with the shows these days. There are however still a few good ones left.

I just flat quit watching any of them. I prefer housewives of New Jersey. No whispering on there. And except for Dance, who is actually informative even if he is fishing behind a fence, fishing shows are just as bad.

If you see the hunter (or hear him), 99% of the time it is a cut-away. During the actual hunt, they hunt like the rest of us. The rest you see is for show

I don't watch any of them. I had a package that included the outdoor networks but I dropped it. So much ridiculous over the top stuff I just got mad watching so now I don't. The main thing is the general lack of respect. Heavy metal, fist pumping, trash talking to a deer you just shot....no thanks.
The original outdoor show is Ky Afield...been running over 50 years I think, and is a pleasure to watch. Unfortunatley I no longer live there so I can't get it.

To answer the questions about whispering. I will keep as quiet as I can until I am out the woods. Maybe I will be hunting in the same area later that day or maybe I am hunting public land so I don't want to disturb the area for someone else. When I have my own hunting show I will be sure to explain the reason behind my whispering after the shot. LOL

There must be a huge demand for the shows, because many sponsers are shelling out alot of money to sponser them. It's business folks and free enterprize. If you don't like them, don't watch them or buy any of the products advertized.
I will watch some of the shows because I like to, but not because I will learn something. Most of us know the deal.
If anyone is swayed by what they show as being normal, they probably just need to hunt a few more years. If you really have a desire to deer hunt, you will keep on hunting no matter what.

Someone hit it. I can put up with the whispering, the obviously fake "posing" shots, the unapologetic product placement, and the Jones' mentality toward equipment. But I cannot stand disrespect for the hunt and the animal. Case in point, did anyone ever get that free vhs that Tree Lounge had? I wanted to smack that woman around when she was screaming and hooting.
What I would like to see is a show with a "professional" hunter coming into an area to scout and hunt with a hobbyist on the public land. I think it would be neat to see them dissect the layout, maps, etc and put a regular "Joe" on a nice buck in "Joe's" own backyard.
