The one that always stands out is the six inch spike i killed when I was in high school. It was the first deer i ever killed 100% on my own.

I shot a small 8pt. eating persimmons ,hit him a little back
Had some blood but it soon run out ,I was on my hands and knees for 4 hours .But I found him.
I know most people would have never stayed with that deer as long as I did.I can get into detail of how determined I was to find this deer. But to make a long story short
To this day I am more proud of that deer than any other,
It is mostly the story behind the hunt that makes it special

Without question its my boys first deer, and the first good buck my oldest son killed as well.
Evans first year hunting at 7 yrs old.

Ryans first good buck at 9 yrs old!

I will have to say however that this past Spring when Ryan Met me and his little brother back at our designated spot, and he had a big Longbeard swung over his shoulder, called and killed all on his own, I was about as proud of him as a Dad can possibly be!

What's your TROPHY deer?

Easy...the last one I killed. All are trophies and memories to me and when that leaves me I'll quit hunting.
