Lets go hunting.... I read and get involved in a lot of post on this site.... Sometimes I wonder why we hunters sweat the small stuff.... I could see if there was only one buck in the woods and we were all trying to kill it, there might be a problem... Heck, half the time we don't even know what's coming around the corner until it pops up.... That's the great thing about hunting and learning something new every hunt....

I know we don't all have the same goals and we can learn a lot when we are having good debates.... I also think that the debates on this site lately have been pretty interesting and tamed in a good way (only one sticks out/negative).... I also want to add that if hunters try not to be selfish and look at the over all picture, hunting would be a lot of fun for all involved... Try not to forget about the kids or new hunters that got started at a late age.......JMO

Good post, my kids have become my #1 hunting buddies and I love it! I scout as hard as I ever have to simply just put them on deer, and it feels better than doing it for myself!!!

Many of us aren't "sweating" so much as we're just wanting to "share" our thoughts and get feedback from others. \:\)
Kind of like thinking a lot of "what ifs" out loud.

I guess you didn't get to these two lines.... "I know we don't all have the same goals and we can learn a lot when we are having good debates.... I also think that the debates on this site lately have been pretty interesting and tamed in a good way (only one sticks out/negative).... " \:\)

Can't wait 'till the season opens so that we can talk about real deer and real situations instead of hypothetical stuff. A lot more interesting IMO.

Winchester, I hope you are including your kids in the scoutings as this has become such a big part of my overall enjoyment. I put my son in a pre-hung stand and was proud my son killed his first buck with the bow but he didn't seem to appreciate the time and effort it took to choose that tree and hang the stand. In fact he didn't hunt 3 days in the past two seasons. Go figure. May have something to do with being 16 and the freedoms that follow??

Every year in the woods is a learning process. Sharing the knowledge with one another is rewarding. Some guys I know won't tell you a thing about their hunt, weird.
