Yea but there some of the people I hate the most. They tell you a bunch of crap just to make a dollar on you! Like the cuddebacks biggest waste of money around nothing but junk! Yes I bought them because I was dumb enough to think surely they wouldn't support JUNK. WRONG a liar is a liar and I hate LIAR'S! The Drury's Are the most arrogant product thieving jerks I ever met! There's no way I can support shows or people like them!

Haven't watched a hunting show in years. Maybe they've changed recently, but nothing I ever saw reflected the realities or the methods I'm familiar with.

Aldo Leopold once said something to like, "ethics is doing what's right even when the wrong thing is legal." How true! I don't have time for someone whose ethical code would allow lying just to make a buck, even if it's legal. I don't want to spend time with them personally and I don't want to watch them on TV.

Hunting shows are no different than any other show you watch on TV, its entertainment and commercials and should be viewed as such! I dont blame these people for getting paid to do what they love to do. Now the bogus bs they spew to sell a product gets old, but its what pays the bills and anyone watching should view it as such! Its all about the money boys and girls, the hunting industry is absolutely no different, its all about the money!!!!

Exactly! If I had one, I'd push the sponsors products even if I didn't like the product...it's the money

Interesting.....that is where I am different I guess. My moral fiber would not allow me to promote ANY product that I did not believe in myself.

I understand where your coming from Andy, but its part of the business. Tournament fishing is the same way. I used to get a new boat every year from Nitro/Tracker Marine/ Bass pro shops. Nitro was not my first choice but when it was free I loved it and told everyone how much I loved it. Same with all my other sponsors, it was easy telling people how well a 'predator spinnerbait' worked when I had an unlimited supply for free, etc. etc. Im sure Tiger Woods may not have really liked Nike clubs to begin with, but ask him now and I guarantee you he loves them! ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!! ;\)

Like I said, that is where I am different. I will let the FAKE people promote BS products and I will continue making my money by taking a different approach. ;\)

I agree with you Andy, but if you were in the buisness, you might have a very hard time getting the sponsors that you believe in to jump on board. But you still have to pay your bills and need hunting products. I would imagine the more well known outdoor celebrities can be more selective in the companies

Yea I think the Drury boys are the real thing for the most part, but I buy and watch the full length videos not the shows.

Most of the time they edit out the "hunting" part. I watch them sometimes because I like to see deer.

Sometimes you watch these shows and wonder how in the world they ever got the production off the ground and we're picked up by the Networks. Wildgame Nation comes to mind as possibley one of the worst hunting shows out there, yet, sometimes, I can't help but watch it.... Its so terrible that its mildly entertaining.

I must be the victim of subliminal overtones. -Next thing you know, I'll be sitting on a field edge, hunting over the latest commercial bait pile and making a fool of myself.

It could be considered the original "reality show"!

Heavily edited and doctored show to present predetermined results in what is billed as "reality"! \:D

I haven't seen one in years. No cable tv around here. I used to watch them on outdoor channel though.

Just watch for entertainment value and amusemnt when you can't be out there making it happen for yourself. Then all is well.

Grain of salt kinda thing.

I just got done watching two and I'm going to watch several more tonight. One of the shows had a father/son hunting in an area of Soth Dakota. Both the father and son completely missed their deer on the third day of a five day hunt. It doesn't get too much more realistic than that if you ask me. The father ended up shooting a nice ten point on the last day but the son didn't get a kill.
More of the shows I've seen this season seem a bit more realistic in that the people in the videos aren't your every day pros like Drury or Jordan. I can relate much better to average hunters going hunting in good deer hunting areas. I fully understand that the areas are very dense with great deer and their patterns are all but told to them by the ones providing the hunts but they still have to shoot themselves without help.

I love the hunting videos. They have some great products to sell too. \:\)

You guys have me fired up about hunting shows..... I'm going to watch a few on Demand (Comcast) and wish that was me hanging in that tree, when that ole buck comes out..... I don't care if it's in Texas and all the deer are coming to the corn in the road.... I don't care if its in Illinois were some property owner or guide put me in a tree and told me about a record 12 point that comes out every evening.... Its all hunting right.... I don't know, maybe it depends on what each individual gets out of it...... If a rich man has 20 record bucks on his wall and a poor man only has one record buck on his wall.... If both are happy what does it matter.... Lifes to short to worry about the small stuff... Lets go hunting...
