I hunted there a few trips the year before last. Isn't that now part of Bear Hollow Mtn WMA ?

i know they gave unit 3 to the state for bear hollow wma unit 4 was a hunting club i hunted on unit 2. can you still buy a perment for unit 2

buying permits for carter mountain is thing of the past i do believe. if i remember right they cut that out when they expanded bear hollow wma. i hunted bear hollow once this past season for the first time in forever and was kinda suprised at how diffrent that placed looked. twra has done a lot of work up there.

I hunt compartment 4 up there. The club is DSO. The only public hunting I'm aware of is Bear Hollow, which is a good place.

If you want to hunt the part that is Bear Hollow, I suggest you hunt it early, as late in the season it becomes a wasteland. The times I have gone, deer were pressured off of the top, and it seemed like I would have to hike halfway down the mountain to find them.
