I dont even want to comment on stuff like this anymore. Instead Ill just go watch 150 inch plus deer like I do about every evening in some good ol 5.0 pH soil wih no crops or Illinois dirt lol

If you were looking for a specific county to concentrate your efforts in to harvest a 150+ buck which county would it be?

hunting the counties that show regular success is a ood idea. But remember, one needs to balance opportunity with frequency. In other words, it may be better for one to hunt a bunch in a county that has only a few big bucks as opposed to hunting Little in an area he can only hunt rarely.

Why? because when you hunt BIG Mature bucks, you need to KNOW the property you hunt.

IF you add in the inside spread. Their argument against inside spread is ludicrous ("It's a measurement of air!"). Everyone knows spread is a major part of the visual impression and size of a rack.

I agree spread is a major part of "visual impression" and I love a good wide rack. But it is a measurement of air. Two deer can have identical amount of antler but one will be rated better than another just because it grew at a different angle. Also a tall rack is a big part of visual impression but I have never seen a deer measured from it's bases to the tallest point.

Either way I still score them all with gross score including spread. Had one miss record books due to deductions but doesn't bother me cause I still have the memory of the hunt embedded in my head and that is priceless.
