i dealt with him once and tried to buy a bow off him and he said (very hatefully) he was going to charge me 20 bucks if i didnt buy it just for letting me shoot it . I told him he was a idiot and it was the worst proshop i have ever been to, i went to big stone gap, VA and bought it somewhere else the next day. I think the guy is a A$$ oh well he lost 900 bucks... LOL... really?? You really believed he would charge $20 for shooting a bow? So you drive to Virginia to off set the $20 charge? He didn't lose $900, more like $100 after his mark up. What was your final cost including the gas you spent to go to Va? ...Man you talk about given a person a good laugh this morning... your story takes the cake. Well maybe it doesn't make sense to you and that's OK some people don't have all the info before they make unknowledgeable comments. I live 15 minutes away from VA i just happened to be near the idiot in Knoxville while visiting a friend and thought i would stop and look at bows since i was in the market for one. And yes the 20 dollar deal is true i saw the guy take his twenty from someone while i was there just for letting him shoot a bow. If i read the paper tomorrow morning and saw that his shop had to close for good...now that would be and early morning laugh!!!

Guys the shop in Claxton seems to be OK. I had some small stuff done to my Sons bow while I was working out of town and they did a good job. Price was just a little high but I was happy with the work. These were very simple things so I cant say how good they are in all areas, but so far so good! I can say that most anything is better than HA's bad attitude or Eagles wings Jokers thats for sure! Good luck to everyone, and like posted above, if your happy with a place then by all means use them, happiness in an archery shop can be hard to find!!lol
