everything i pick up now comes from china!! We need some good ole boy hunting product MFG's. After alot of research i have noticed that most of these outdoor product companies dont have anything but a warehouse with a few employees to unload the containers coming from china. I wonder if some of these guy even know how to build what they are selling!! Seems a little goofy to me.

Will America ever become a manufacturing nation again? There are
many industries in my area that have gone both south and east
over the last 15 years.

Maybe old Ross was right.

We've priced ourselves out of that market. Cant compete with cheap cheap labor. I wish we had more U S made stuff too. Quality (with the exception of cars) is always better. IMO

i would much rather give my money to some dude with a wife and two kids from were ever TN as opposed to kling fong chang from bejing. Wal-mart has conditioned us to beleive the cost of materials are cheap, when in reality if they were build here they would be more exspensive. And now excluding the big auto guys, most plants arent making that much money

Some of the foreign made items are quality and at a great price. many are not. but the competition is what drives it. I personally hate to see everything moving out of our country to some foreign nation that despises everything about our way of life and our constitution. No one should ever think for a minute that we are loved by the nations that feed off of us. They despise us and would like nothing better to be able to tell us how to live.

I always wonder what the chinese people who build these things must think. I bet they wonder what in the world is a "snort wheeze". Or a "rattling bag".

That is why I bought the Summit Seat o The Pants harness instead of the HSS Trophy Vest, they were proudly made in the USA. We have to make that decision when we purchase or it will never change.

Well if you want to place blame, place it squarely on the shoulders of Unions that drive labor costs so high that manufacturing in the U.S. is not an option.

I displayed and reviewed a product on here recently. It is made in USA and even though most people liked it. The set back for most was the cost. Small companies that make innovated and QUALITY products here in USA have to fight the high material cost and overhead that large companies and corps can off set by buying in hugh bulk and getting cheaper labor in other countries and distribute internationally if not just nationally. The bottom line is the american consumer... you have to buy American and pay a little more now in order to get it back to the way it once was... with the majority of products once again being made in the good old USA. If I pulled everything off right now that was made in
china I would be nearly naked,
NAFTA is the biggest reason I can find for all this importing,
Seems like we are importing more than exporting
