Good point .....and is more aptly a correct description since we all use different standards of what a trophy deer is to each of us and why we may shoot it one day but because we have taken one buck that size we arent likely to shoot a second of the same size.....i usually have to go up in size from the first i shoot.
I like this description better than trophy. Great point in fact.

I think "deer hunter" pretty much covers all bases. That's what I was thinking. Doesn't matter if it's a buck, doe, spike, big , or small, aren't they all "DEER" and we are hunting them?

I think "deer hunter" pretty much covers all bases. That's what I was thinking. Doesn't matter if it's a buck, doe, spike, big , or small, aren't they all "DEER" and we are hunting them? Do you shoot the very first legal deer you get a shot on eveytime you hunt?
Not usually, but I hunted every one of them.
