Just wondering what color scope do you guys suggest for a camo gun with nickel finish barrel? thinking of going silver but I was wondering if anybody thinks deer might see it easier than black. its a new traditions muzzle loader break action the scope that traditions sales to match the camo pattern i dont like

Not being a Smart A$$, but if they can see your silver scope they will see your Nickel Barrel.
My brother has a Nickel barrel ML and hasn't had any issues with it.

Kinda what i thought to but The reason i asked I walked in to the locale gun shop the other day and the guy said he had problems with deer seeing his and ended up changing his scopes out to black and hasen't had a problem since

I'd say you may as well go with silver to match the barrel. Like bone collecter said deer will see your barrel black scope or not. And as for the other fella, how can we be certin the deer were seeing only the scope. could have been his movement or barrel.

I have used a synthetic stocked stainless Rem 700 for 18 years and that AINT an issue.
