I am going to start on building Three new shooting houses or deer blind's, Which ever you want to call them, this weekend. I will be taking and posting pictures in the do it your self forum, of the process and progress. These will be 4'x4'x6' on 16' legs! I am building at home and going to transport and stand them up later at the farm. I have been thinking of making them to where we can assemble and disassemble,to move if we need to or want to at a later date. Any one have any suggestions that I may need to take into consideration? Thanks!! JW

They do look really good. Good luck in them this year. But I think I would have just climbed up in that big oak right behind the first one...

Good gosh, that must have been a pain to set up!
If the legs/supports aren't pressure treated, be careful in a couple of years.
How did you anchor them to the ground? My tallest shooting house was 8 feet off the ground with each leg set in 80lbs quickrete.
It lasted around 4 years, then straight-line winds blew it over and pulled the quickrete anchors up with it!

We anchored them with 2"x2" tubeing cut at 36" and nailed in ground next to the legs, with about 8" above ground and bolted to the 4"x6" legs with 3/4" all thread, We are also tying them off to the trees behind them.

But then you might have to sit in the rain
