I love to predator hunt but I don't eat the yotes, foxes and bobcats I kill. Some folks don't like deer meat, but who cares as long as the animal is legal and it is used by someone. Also, deer meat cannot eaten by some people with certain health issues.
I agree with this. I don't eat all the deer I kill but I make sure they don't go to waste. Last year I donated one deer to hunters for the hungry and I gave another one to family. As long as the deer is used, I have no problem with the hunter not eating it.

Some poeple don't like venison. I have no problem with that as long as the meat is donated to someone who will use it.

I'm being honest and sincere. I hunt foremost for the meat, So the first legal deer regardless of antler length comes by, It's on the ground. Usually I eat Deer 2 nights a week in some fashion (Steak, Sloppy Joe, etc.) I haven't bought ground beef in years. We have a family friend that loves Deer meat and I usually have one worked up for him, But he eats it. As for me personally my ethics is eat what you kill. My Aunt and Uncle both Buck only hunt unless someone wants some meat, But they don't eat deer themselves. I just love the taste of venison over beef.

We are no longer HUNTER/GATHERERS........
very few people depend on meat via the field.....some do, of course, but a very small percentage.
These people hunt for the sport only.
lol.
I am first and for most a hunter and gatherer and proud of it. We country folk call it being self reliant these days.

We are no longer HUNTER/GATHERERS........
One of the primary reasons I hunt to is fufill the instictive drive I have to be a hunter-gatherer. 4+ million years of successful evolution ingrained that desire into me. A single generation away from being a hunter-gatherer doesn't remove that instinctive desire.
