The same gun and caliber that that I have used in the last 40+ years of deer hunting. Model 70 Winchester with the .270 caliber.
I have had a Redfield Widefield scope on it for the last 36 years, so my rifle and I am about ready for a new scope (ha).
Any suggestions for a new scope?
Nikon Buckmaster 50mm about 375.00 best scope for the money if your not going to go super high dollar...

300 RUM, perhaps my new 6.5 WSM
I'm so pumped already!!!!
Wish we could just do away with ML season and change it to any weapon Amen. Hate muzzleloaders. But twra wants to sell us another license not me!! i would rather do away with rifle season. muzzleloader is my favorite and my vacation every year. Yep

Probably my LH Tikka T3 30-06, with a Ruger 44 mag Super Redhawk in my shoulder holster just in case one comes within 40 yards.

I like it because of the amount of light it takes in at dawn and dusk also the bigger field of view it gives you...To each there own that was just my opinion..

a 40mm on quality optics allows shooting well past legal light. it has nothing to do with field of view.
