You're on stand and here comes a pretty good looking buck, maybe 2.5-3.5 years old. He has at first what seems to be a nice rack but when he gets right in front of you you can see he has 4 points broken off of his main beams making a once 10 pointer now a 6 pointer. Would you shoot him anyway?

Probably. Antlers don't mean much to me anymore. I shoot just about anything that comes in range if I feel like shooting one.

the buck that i shot last season was all busted up.
several tines were broken off.
he was an old warrior and looked the part....
great deer, busted up or not.

I had that very thing happen to me year before last...the left main beam was broken off clean right after the g-2 (actually made it a 7)....I didn't kill it. not sure why specificly...but I let all the rest walk too...
