When someone posts a picture of any deer they have killed it goes to reason that they are proud of that kill. At that point in time that animal met their standards whether or not it met anyone else’s doesn't matter and congratulations are in order. "Nice Buck" or "Good Deer" are forms of congratulations to you for meeting your goal.

I hate when a hunter appologizes for killing a "scrub buck". No one needs an appology. You decided to take the animal, so be proud of it and show some excitement.
"Excitement" has a way of being contagious to others. Eventhough I might not have shot the same deer, if you are excited and proud of it.....I will be too.

has anyone said "bad buck", sometimes i get tired of "nice buck"....many of these "nice bucks" are scrubs....1.5 yr old rifle kills or worse etc etc, eye of the beholder I know but is there a "bad buck"
Theres no doubt this post was talking about hunters killing small/young bucks.... Sometimes when you open the can, you just have to take your Licks...... This is the kind of post that give trophy hunters a bad name.....
Don't get me wrong, I have let bucks walk and waited on the big one....but I'm not going to tell others what they should hunt or push for buck limits that make no sense....JMO

I would think "nice buck" or "nice deer" should be a complement to someone who was proud enough to post a pic on here for us to see. I don't care anything about having a deer head on the wall of my home it just won't ever happen. All of my horns are in the rafters of the tractor shed. But if someone is proud enough to post a pic of the deer they killed on here then who am I to tell them it ain't good enough?
