Im a huge hypocrite. I count down the days until bow season, scout every day Im out of school for snow, shoot first thing at a 3d every morning from June on, and hang about 15 stands a season in preparation. That being said I'm skipping opening weekend of bow season here in KY.
I got the invite from my girlfriends dad to come to north IN to dove hunt for a couple of days. I told him Id be all for it if I could bring my brother. I'll give up a couple days of deer hunting but not a weekend of time to spend with my college age brother. He said yes so the 4th and 5th I'll be up there shooting some doves.
I will get to watch some fields to get ready for a late Oct. deer hunt on his property and will be back in time to hit my public land honey hole clover strip on Monday!
My friends are thinking about commiting me and I am questioning my sanity as well. I promise my devotion is as strong as ever but I really to like to welcome the season with some solid lead thrown at those gray blurs.

Thanks guys, I have no second thoughts about my decision. I told Patrick that it was totally his call. Id do whatever he was more in favor of and as typical he showed more maturity than his years. Well have some good time together, eat some good food, drink some good wine and hopefully kill a few birds.
