Yes, great area. My family owns hundreds of acres up there. I have seen some monster deer. And screwed up several times when they came in range...lol

Me and a buddy have a farm on the Christian/Todd County line that we've hunted for 3 years now, this year will be the 4th year. At least 1 of us have taken a nice buck every year and some years both of us got 1. All of the bucks were 130's or 140's with the exception of last year when my buddy shot a 9 pt towards the end of the season that was 120's. We usually see several bucks in the 110' to 120' range each year and usually end up with at least one of us having a chance at a bigger buck. There are some really good bucks in that area, bigger than what we've taken.
Last year I shot a buck on Sept. 7 that I know was in the 150's, full velvet, with a bow just at last light that I hit too high and never recovered. I was hunting on a bean field and it was 87 degrees that day so you never know. And last year or the year before a guy 2 farms over killed a 167' during gun season. I hunt the NE part of the county. Hope this helps some and good luck !

That whole little several county area produces some great deer. I hunt Butler which is neighboring to Todd. Those two Ohio and Christian year in and year out have some of the best hunting in the state.

HD, what part of Todd Co. are you hunting? I am from there and hunt all over the county. If you need any info, I may be able to help. And yes, there are monster bucks here. We had a 170 class buck on the camera last year and as far as we know he is still alive. He has not shown himself this year though. Sort of makes us wonder if any anything happened to him.

Trenton is were I grew up. I'm actually at my parents' now. One place I hunt is just outside Trenton. If you don't mind me asking, who's land are you hunting? A lot of crop land with patches of woods around here. Very easy to see the big ones, hard to get close for bow. I would have killed a big 8 last year if I hunted with a gun during gun season. He was about 50 yards following a doe. He made it to this year. Maybe I'll get him early.

It's about 20 miles northeast of Trenton. Some friends I went to school with live over there. I have never actually hunted there, but I know people that do.
