I outfit in schuyler county illinois. THE CORN WILL BE OUT ON TIME THIS YEAR. THIS WILL BE A GOOD YAER FOR TROPHY BUCKS. THEY GOT BY LAST SEASON AND HID IN THE CORN BUT THERE WANT BE ANY CORN TO HIDE IN THIS SEASOM.

It's funny how a lot of crop harvesting is done about two days before shotgun opens,lol! I plan on going back up on public land. Our private land sold this year.

I grew up in Illinois. The last few years i have been lucky enough to draw my gun tags. There are big deer up there, but they aren't behind every tree either. Just like any thing else, the more you work at it and the more time you spend scouting, etc. the more success you will have. Kinda hard to do that if you don't live there. Lotsa luck involved when you only have a few days to gun hunt. I hunted 7 days one year w/o seeing a deer.
