spent the month of june camping across the country out to wyoming and colorado. 1st time ever spending time in nebraska, missouri, iowa, illinois, south dakota, wisconsin, and minnesota.
now i can truly grasp the difference with the midwest hunting. the soil is black and black 30' deep. the soil is dark as potting soil at home depot. i was foaming at the mouth on the entire trip.
there are oceans of corn. i mean hundreds of miles of corn. as far as you can see. with only a few blocks of woods here and there. every square inch of field is corn. probably 85% corn and the rest beans.
the hunting shows don't do justice to the difference in the terrain.
sure would like to have a farm in southern wisconsin or east nebraska i beilieve were my favorite. good cheese too.
