I agree.
But I'd never intentionally shoot a deer in its "back half" in a attempt to "break it down". Almost like thinking if you shoot it in the foot, it will run slower, then you "might" be able to get a better shot.

I would never take a shot at a deer "to break it down for the second shot." Never. I am actually notorius for being too cautious with my shot selection. But, I have no regrets.
