We've seen posts asking "Where will you sit opening morning?" This falls in the same category as that but more generalized.
In genreal what types of sets do you usually hunt during the first 3 weeks of the season. Example I personally like to hunt egdes of fields and staging areas during the first 2-3 weeks. Later on I read the sign and move usually deeper into the woods and hunt funnles.
What about yall?

Usually wherever I find the most feed sign proximate to a thicket or dense woods.

Probably on the edge of a ridge that is very close to a thicket. I will only have a couple lanes but the thick stuff has them browsing a bit more during the day.

Probably in a hardwood holler that leads out of several hundred acres of planted pines and right into 30 acres of mature oaks.

I try to hunt near food sources between travel areas and hope to catch them in that manner of early morn movement. This doesnt work in a lot of areas but when you find one that does it usually works from one year to the next in that spot.
