I am leasing 250 acres this season and the owner wants me to carry some insurance to cover everyone that will be apart of the 4 people that will be hunting on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Buckmasters used to have policies specifically for leases. you may check in that direction.

I did. It seems they charge $292 and that doesnt include membership fees to buckmaster. I am looking for something dirt cheap to "keep it legal with the owner". Thanks for your suggestion,...anyone else know of a cheap place to get Hunter Lease Liability Insurance?

I've seen adds in Quality Whitetails for lease insurance, but don't remember the name of the company.
....google hunting lease insurance and you will find some companies. But your probably going to have to pay a couple hundred $$. If your doing it just to please the landowner....do you already have a contract (to include verbal agreement on price of lease)? If so, did he require the insurance as part of the contract, or is he trying to tack it on afterward? If he's trying to tack it on afterward, I would say fine, but it's coming off the price of the lease. Agreements are agreements.

Agreements are agreements, but they don't have to be renewed if one party gets testy.

Nothing has been signed or agreed upon yet, but the first thing he said was he wanted me to carry insurance. Anyway, thanks all! Camoman, who is your lease company?
